Our company had the privilege and honor of being a proud participant in the 2025 Home Builders Blitz by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. The Blitz is an event that brings together people and resources from all backgrounds within our community to build a row of beautiful new homes for deserving families who have begun the landmark journey of homeownership.
At McNeill Burbank, we believe the peace and security of shelter is a right that every human being deserves. The Builders Blitz is one way that we, as a small business and as community members, can create a more equitable community for all. Homeownership changes the trajectory of a life. May we continue to have the strength to be stewards of these causes and may that strength be passed on to future generations.
Under the guidance of Dermot O’Brien, Vice President, and Mike Burns, Field Manager, our dedicated team, alongside vendors and fellow builders, poured their efforts into constructing a brand-new home for a well-deserving local Raleigh family. It was a rainy and exciting whirlwind of a week to take a home from blueprints all the way to full completion, but every home embarked on for the cause met the final deadline. By Friday, May 16th, there was a street of beautiful new construction homes ready to be purchased by the selected future homeowners of our community. Reflecting on the transformative impact witnessed during the Blitz, McNeill Burbank expresses profound gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause. The collaborative efforts within the home-building community have not only provided homes, but also paved the way for new beginnings for multiple families who are now homeowners and furthermore turning houses into warm and welcoming homes.
A special thanks to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County for organizing another incredible Builders Blitz. We would like to extend our gratitude to the leaders, venders, sponsors, and most importantly, the volunteers during this exciting weeklong venture. Wishing our newest homeowners peace and joy.
